Collect field samples and conduct analyses as a Lab Sampling Technician supporting a major Oil Sands facility in Northern Alberta. Work outdoors while prioritizing safety, accuracy, and compliance.
This Lab Sampling Technician role supports laboratory operations, field sampling, and environmental and regulatory compliance. You will handle water, gas, hydrocarbon, soil, and other samples while conducting chemical and physical analyses. The work also includes operational support, documentation, and sampling-related troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect routine and non-routine field samples
- Conduct chemical and physical analyses
- Maintain equipment, containers, records, and sample systems
- Communicate plant issues affecting safety, production, or sampling
- Follow site safety and environmental requirements
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver's Licence
- Legal entitlement to work in Canada
- Ability to work independently outdoors
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
