Actively contribute as a member of the leadership team by collaborating with team members to enhance warehouse operations, while promoting productivity, quality and safety throughout the facility.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the performance of processes and employees in Price Electronics production cell(s).
- Managing warehouse and shipping by ensuring all needed materials or products are on-hand by working closely with the Planning and Leadership team.
- Troubleshooting issues with support from Group Leaders and the production team.
- Working with the manufacturing team to develop an in-depth knowledge of the product line, utilizing documentation to capture critical-to-process information.
- Becoming a product expert.
- Implementing and championing Lean initiatives.
- Coaching and collaborating with team members to ensure high-quality product is built in a safe, cost-effective, timely manner.
- Ensuring department compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Participation in regular meetings.
Job Skills and Requirements:
- Minimum one year of management experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience working in electronics, manufacturing, or warehouse environments, with a strong focus on quality standards and customer service.
- A willingness and ability to learn technical requirements of multiple product lines.
- An aptitude for reading customer and engineering drawings.
- Strong leadership skills and an ability to effect and champion change.
- A proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with LEAN manufacturing concepts is an asset.
- Post-secondary education is an asset.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage priorities in a fast-paced warehouse workplace.
- Willingness and availability to work split shifts, alternate schedules, or multiple shifts as required.
