PRODUCTION BAKER

Location: 30462 Liberator Avenue, Abbotsford and Event Dependent Venues

Nature & Scope

Working alongside the culinary team - the baker will be responsible for executing and assisting the team with baking and culinary preparations at the White Table Catering kitchen, with a focus on maintaining optimum food quality and food safety standards during preparation and storage. Baker will work with cookies, muffins, scones, cakes and otheritems at a high volume.

The Ideal Applicant should:

- Feel at home in high-volume, fast-paced environments
- Have 1 year minimum baking experience, muffins, cakes, cookies etc.
- Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and oral




- Be technically proficient in their culinary craft and have a desire to continue learning and growing as a baker - A culinary school diploma is an asset
- Be organized, efficient and prepared. Always ahead of the game.
- Be available for afternoon and evening shifts 2pm-10pm including some weekends

Duties and Responsibilities

- Ensure that menu items are prepared in a timely manner and to the highest level
- Communicate respectfully and effectively with all team members across the organization
- Follow instructions from the Chef / Sous Chef on duty
- Maintain required Food Safe health standards
- Maintain kitchen and operational tools in an around the event kitchen
- Contribute to a clean, sanitary and qualified work environment
- Dishwashing, cleaning and garbage/compost/recycling removal as required
- Approach all tasks in line with the White Table philosophy, aesthetic and standard of excellence
- Complete any other duties necessary to ensure the success of the operation
- Promote teamwork, cleanliness, and professionalism

Requirements

- Must be able to work a flexible schedule based on the business’ and event-specific needs
- Must be eligible to work in Canada
- Phone plan with data needed; for use with workplace apps and communication when teams are split
- Ability to bend, lift, and carry 50 pounds
- Ability to stand and be mobile for an excess of 8 hours
- Minimum 1 year baking experience
