Support surgical care at Lakeridge Health Ajax-Pickering through patient transport, equipment handling, and Surgical Suite support. This temporary part-time role includes wide-ranging shifts.

As Perioperative Support in the Surgical Program, you will work with a multidisciplinary team in OR Main, LHAP. Responsibilities include transporting patients and specimens, preparing rooms, maintaining equipment, and managing supplies. The assignment lasts 15 months, with eight-hour days, evenings, nights, and weekends subject to change.

Key Responsibilities:

- Transport patients by stretcher, bed, and wheelchair
- Assist with patient positioning, lifting, and transfers
- Set up, clean, and maintain Surgical Suite equipment
- Replenish carts, rooms, and supplies
- Prepare soiled case carts for transportation to SPD

Requirements:

- Successful completion of CSAO or MDRAO course
- Current CPR certificate
- Effective communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of universal precautions for supplies and specimens
- Ability to work all shifts and weekends
