Operate snowplow trucks for Dexter Construction in Lower Sackville while clearing Halifax Regional Municipality streets throughout the 2026/2027 season. Training is provided.

This seasonal position removes snow and ice across HRM streets and supports salting and sanding before and after weather events. Operators complete vehicle inspections and safely handle required equipment. Dexter Institute training and on-the-job mentorship with a senior experienced operator are included.

Key Responsibilities:

- Remove snow and ice from Halifax Regional Municipality streets
- Salt and sand before and after weather events
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Safely operate snowplowing trucks and required equipment
- Perform other assigned duties as required

Requirements:

- Hold a required Class 1 or Class 3 Driver’s License
- Previous snowplowing experience is preferred
- Work day and night shifts, weekends, and holidays when needed
- Operate equipment safely and responsibly
- Communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors
