Interior Health seeks an experienced Medical Laboratory Assistant for its Medical Laboratory Department. The role supports patient testing through blood collection, specimen preparation, routine laboratory testing, and ECG testing as required. Clerical accuracy, equipment operation, and LIS data entry are also central duties.

Key Responsibilities:

- Collect blood and other specimen samples from patients
- Prepare blood and specimens for laboratory analysis
- Perform routine laboratory tests and required ECG testing




- Distribute specimens to departments and outside laboratories
- Operate equipment and enter data into the LIS

Requirements:

- Grade 12 completion
- Recognized Laboratory Assistant training program completion
- One year of recent related experience or equivalent qualifications
- Canadian Driver’s License when required by the position
- Typing speed of 25 WPM with approved invigilated testing
