Optimize traffic signal operations for the City of Greater Sudbury using signal timing, transportation technology, and data analysis in a hybrid work arrangement.

As a Traffic Signal Analyst, you will manage traffic signals, Intelligent Transportation Systems, and transportation technology infrastructure. The position supports safe, productive movement through operational analysis, asset management, project delivery, and evidence-based recommendations. You will also coordinate maintenance and traffic operations planning.

Key Responsibilities:

- Monitor and optimize signal timing, coordination, warrants, and special-event strategies
- Support ATMS, Transit Signal Priority, EVP, and other ITS
- Investigate equipment failures and coordinate maintenance, repairs, and improvements
- Analyze network performance, delays, queues,



travel times, and reliability
- Prepare technical reports, recommendations, specifications, and engineering documentation

Requirements:

- Related college diploma from a Canadian-accredited community college
- Over five through seven years of related experience
- Knowledge of signal timing, controllers, networks, detection, and ITS
- Ability with Transportation Signal Optimization software
- Valid Class G licence and acceptable driving record
