Support first-year university transition at McMaster University as a part-time Teaching Assistant for INSPIRE 1PL3 in Winter 2027.
The INSPIRE Office of Adaptable Learning seeks five undergraduate students for Personal Leadership through University Transition. Student leadership experience is an asset, along with experience supporting first-year students. The temporary appointment is based at Central Campus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead tutorials and oversee laboratories or field trip supervision
- Prepare through readings, lectures, and instructor meetings
- Consult with students through email and office hours
- Invigilate assessments and complete grading duties
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Undergraduate student status throughout the appointment term
- Student leadership experience considered an asset
- Experience supporting first-year students considered an asset
- Eligibility for Class B student appointment
- Ability to work in Canada and at McMaster University
