Support clinical laboratory services at Edson Healthcare Centre through specimen handling and processing. This temporary part-time position includes day, evening, and weekend shifts.

As a Medical Laboratory Assistant I, you will provide effective, efficient, and safe service to clinical laboratory clients. Your work includes procuring, handling, processing, dispatching, and testing specimens, performing procedures, and reporting results. The position is part time at 0.50 FTE within the Laboratory program.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide high quality service to clinical laboratory clients
- Procure, handle, process, and dispatch specimens
- Test specimens and perform laboratory procedures
- Report laboratory results accurately
- Work effectively, efficiently, and safely

Requirements:

- Accredited Medical Laboratory Assistant program completion
- Equivalent Canadian MLT or CLXT program completion
- International Medical Lab Technician or Technologist program completion
- MLT or CLXT phlebotomy training or rotation completed
- Satisfactory criminal record or Vulnerable Sector check
