Community development and health promotion shape this full time SEOCHC position in South-East Ottawa, focused on engagement, advocacy, and community capacity building.

The Community Developer works within the Community Services team at South-East Ottawa Community Health Centre. This position assesses community needs, coordinates initiatives, and supports residents, organizations, and partners. It also leads centre-wide and strategic health promotion and community development activities.

Key Responsibilities:

- Support residents and organizations in identifying needs and developing solutions
- Lead advocacy, outreach, partnership building, and leadership development initiatives
- Facilitate participation in planning, decisions, and collective action
- Develop relationships with networks, coalitions, committees,



and external partners
- Maintain documentation and support data collection, reporting, and evaluation

Requirements:

- Post-secondary degree in community development or related field
- Minimum five years’ community development or related experience
- Excellent oral and written English communication skills
- Experience with diverse communities and interdisciplinary teams
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle for regular travel
