Interior Health seeks a medical microbiologist for its regional team beginning September 2027. The team consults with four laboratories in Kelowna, Kamloops, Trail, and Cranbrook. This position includes clinical consultation, laboratory service oversight, and participation in the regional Infection Prevention and Control program.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee regional bacteriology, mycology, and molecular testing services
- Provide consultation to four microbiology laboratories
- Contribute clinical consultation to the regional IPAC program




- Share clinically oriented on-call service with six microbiologists
- Collaborate with administrative, hospital, infection control, and laboratory staff

Requirements:

- Experience in bacteriology, mycology, and molecular testing
- Experience with Infection Prevention and Control
- Solid interpersonal skills for regional collaboration
- Availability to join the team in September 2027
