Support patient care at Groves Memorial Community Hospital through environmental cleaning, food services, patient transfers, and supply coordination. This temporary full time position includes rotating weekends.

The Support Services Attendant works within the hospital’s Support Services Department. Duties span housekeeping, food preparation and delivery, patient portering, receiving hospital deliveries, and electronic supply-chain data entry. The position follows Ministry of Environment, PIDAC, Food and Drug Act, and Public Health Ontario standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Clean and disinfect areas, collect waste, and distribute linens
- Prepare, store, deliver, and serve food products
- Transfer patients and manage transfer equipment supplies
- Receive deliveries, validate items, and update electronic records




- Maintain stock levels, rotate supplies, and arrange shipments

Requirements:

- Secondary School Diploma and healthcare cleaning or food services experience
- Safe Food Handling Certificate or progress toward obtaining it
- Strong communication, customer service, computer, and interpersonal skills
- WHMIS training and ability to complete physical duties
- Police Vulnerable Sector Check and pre-employment health assessment
