Support addiction recovery as an Addictions Registered Psychiatric Nurse in Kamloops, using trauma-informed care and safe medication administration in office. Casual shifts provide flexible nursing coverage across seven days.

Reporting to the Integrated Care Services Manager, this Registered Psychiatric Nurse supports adult and youth inpatient substance use treatment. The position collaborates on assessments, implements care plans, documents client information, and provides medical care. Nurses monitor complex physical and mental health symptoms while coordinating with physicians, community medical partners, and an interdisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Collaborate on intake, treatment, and discharge assessments
- Administer medications safely following required protocols
- Document assessments, care plans, records,



and discharge summaries
- Provide trauma-informed therapeutic communication during client crises
- Lead weekly nursing education group sessions

Requirements:

- RPN designation and valid BC provincial practicing license
- Current First Aid, CPR with AED, and Naloxone certification
- Current Class 5 Driver’s License and WHMIS certification
- Microsoft Office, organizational, and time-management skills
- Criminal Record Check before employment commencement
