Support patient mealtimes at Bruyère Health as a part-time Meal Helper requiring compassion and calm communication. This permanent daytime position provides 13.5 hours per pay period.
Reporting to the Clinical Manager, you will assist assigned patients with feeding and complete related duties as required. The role is currently aligned with 5 North, subject to change. Success requires teamwork, respectful patient care, calmness, and valid Basic Life Support Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Level C certification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide varying degrees of assistance with patient feeding
- Support assigned patients during mealtimes
- Complete other related duties as required
- Work collaboratively within the care workplace
Requirements:
- Completion of a high school diploma
- Valid Basic Life Support Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Level C certificate
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Respectful and compassionate behavior toward patients or residents
- Ability to remain calm
