Measure cycle times and bottlenecks as an Operational Excellence Co-op Student at Interpro Pipe & Steel Inc. Work across the shop floor and production data.
This co-op student analyzes tubular lines to identify throughput losses and quantify waste. You will support Interpro’s Enterprise Business System, where continuous improvement initiatives progress through stage gates. The work combines value stream mapping, constraint analysis, waste registers, and improvement opportunities supported by baseline data and estimated value.
Key Responsibilities:
- Measure cycle times across tubular production lines
- Identify constraints and quantify lost throughput
- Analyze waste and estimate annual impacts
- Enter improvement opportunities into EBS
- Present findings to operations leadership
Requirements:
- Enrollment in an engineering co-op program
- At least second year of study completed
- Solid Excel skills with pivots and lookups
- Working knowledge of statistics
- Comfort working in PPE around heavy equipment
