Annapolis Valley Regional Centre for Education seeks an English as an Additional Language Teacher for HHS, AVHS, WES, BDES, FDS, and DAHS. The 0.51 FTE term assignment runs February 1, 2027, through July 31, 2027. You will develop programs, provide instruction, assess needs, and monitor EAL student progress while supporting regional practices.

Key Responsibilities:

- Support provincial and regional EAL policies, guidelines, and directives
- Assess school needs for EAL staff and resources
- Provide consultation to principals and EAL staff




- Develop professional development priorities supporting school improvement
- Assist newcomer student placement and community liaison work

Requirements:

- Valid Nova Scotia Teaching Certificate
- Minimum five years successful teaching experience at various levels
- Experience teaching in a variety of cultures
- EAL training or certification in TESL, TESOL, TEAL, or Linguistics
- Solid intercultural communication and collaboration abilities
