Build overhead and underground distribution systems with Toronto Hydro as a Powerline Technician Apprentice using electrical troubleshooting skills. Work across Toronto locations.

This apprentice role supports construction, maintenance, operation, and troubleshooting of electrical distribution systems. You will work under a Certified Power Line Person’s direction while developing applicable skills. Responsibilities include cables, conductors, transformers, switching, protection, control, and instrumentation equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Install and maintain low and medium voltage cables
- Troubleshoot overhead and underground distribution systems
- Install and maintain transformers up to 27.6kV




- Perform switching operations on primary and secondary equipment
- Follow protected work practices and regulatory procedures

Requirements:

- Two year electrical or electronic college diploma preferred
- Valid Ontario Class G or higher license
- Ability to obtain DZ or ARZ license post hire
- Comfort working at heights and in confined spaces
- Ability to read distribution system construction drawings
