Check blue and green carts in Saskatoon while recording contamination findings with a tablet for Tetra Tech’s Solid Waste Management team.
As a Waste Spot Checker, you will visually inspect recycling and food and yard waste carts at each house. You will educate residents about waste management procedures when needed, while following internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards. Orientation and health and safety training are provided before the work begins.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect blue and green carts for contamination
- Record observations and complete tablet data entry
- Inform residents about current waste procedures
- Follow internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards
- Report health and safety incidents and concerns
Requirements:
- Interest in environmental and waste management issues
- Excellent communication skills for resident interactions
- Attention to detail and accurate, timely work
- Ability to walk long distances outdoors
- Ability to lift safely up to 10 kilograms
