As a Senior Underwriter, you provide complete solutions for commercial mid-market businesses. You work with broker partners to understand each risk holistically and make sound underwriting decisions. Your portfolio spans Health, Education, Social Services, and Senior Care, supported by technical assessment, relationship building, coaching, and mentorship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide complete solutions for commercial mid-market businesses
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Assess risks using robust technical underwriting skills
- Coach, mentor,
and develop less experienced underwriters
- Collaborate with broker partners on each risk
Requirements:
- Seven or more years underwriting property, casualty, or automobile
- Completed or pursuing the CIP designation
- Commercial lines underwriting experience in HESS industries considered an asset
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to build relationships with brokers
