Covenant Health seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse for its 32-bed Unit 42 General Surgery program. The role serves patients across general, gynecological, orthopedic, ENT, and plastic surgery. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams while practicing to full scope. Person-centred, culturally safe, and inclusive care remains central to communication with patients, families, and colleagues. The position is regular part time with days, nights, and weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

- Deliver holistic care and support to patients and families
- Apply nursing knowledge, clinical judgment, and critical thinking




- Coordinate care activities within the licensed scope
- Orient, coach, mentor, and support learners
- Contribute to safety and quality improvement initiatives

Requirements:

- Graduate of a Practical Nursing program or recognized equivalent
- Active Alberta practical nurse registration
- Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider Level C certification
- At least one year surgical or acute care experience
- Recent surgical preceptorship may meet experience requirements
