This Technical Designer in Engineering evaluates drawing requests and prepares designs for customers, production teams, and building codes. The position gathers technical information and transmits it to project managers so production can begin. French and English communication supports coordination across departments and external engineering firms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate projects, installation conditions, and applicable building codes
- Calculate self-supporting structures and concrete bases
- Develop wall-sign attachment methods and engineering drawings
- Support estimation, permitting, production,
and project management teams
- Coordinate engineering firms and internal or external meetings
Requirements:
- Diploma in civil engineering, industrial design, or relevant experience
- Knowledge of SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Corel, Excel, or similar software
- Skilled French and English communication, written and verbal
- Ability to read plans, measurements, and structures accurately
- Legal authorization documents required to work in Canada
