Role overview

TD is seeking a Market Risk Analyst for its Global Foreign Exchange Market Risk team in Toronto. The team oversees risk across FX options and short-term interest rate trading, including risk sensitivities, VaR, stress testing, and scenario analysis. This is an individual contributor role focused on developing FX product knowledge and risk oversight capability.

Responsibilities

- Review daily exposures and profit and loss for FX and short-term interest rate trading.
- Monitor desk and asset-class limits, escalate breaches and emerging risks, and analyze stress tests and scenarios.
- Prepare market risk reports and analyze changes in risk measures and profit and loss.
- Validate the capture and reporting of sensitivities, VaR, stress testing, and backtesting exposures.
- Investigate data, methodology, model, and system issues with relevant partners.
- Support new products, policy and regulatory changes, and infrastructure initiatives.
- Develop or enhance analytical tools using Excel, Python, or other approved technologies.
- Contribute to risk governance, controls, and process improvements.

Qualifications

- Undergraduate degree or technical certificate in Finance, Economics,



Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least one year of relevant experience; market risk, financial markets, FX, derivatives, risk analytics, or related control experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of financial markets, derivative products, and risk measures such as sensitivities, VaR, stress testing, and backtesting.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; Python and analytical tools such as Bloomberg or Tableau are assets.
- FRM, CFA, graduate study, or progress toward a relevant professional qualification is an asset.

Compensation and schedule

Full time, 37.5 hours per week. Salary: $69,700–$98,400 CAD.
