Support recreation programming and routine therapy interventions at Valleyview Health Centre in a casual, relief Therapy Aide position. Collaborate with Allied Health and Nursing teams.

As a Recreation Therapy Aide, you will work independently and within an interdisciplinary team. Under qualified supervision, you will support client-centred recreation and rehabilitation services. The work includes administrative duties, healthy living promotion, self-care support, and participation in assigned therapy programs.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide recreation programming for long-term care residents
- Prepare and apply routine therapy interventions
- Order supplies and maintain equipment inventories
- Book clients and track attendance records
- Assist with transfers, positioning, and daily activities

Requirements:

- Completion of Grade 12 or high school diploma
- Health Care Aide certificate or equivalent preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills required
- Related experience with elderly individuals is an asset
- Physical capacity for wheelchairs, transfers, and hygiene tasks
