Support patients in Edmonton’s busy tertiary Emergency as a Health Care Aide using personal assistance and collaborative care. Work at U of A Hospital within Alberta Health Services.

This regular full-time Health Care Aide supports Adults and Stollery in family-centred care. You will assist with daily living, hygiene, nutrition, mobility, recreation, and safety needs. The work includes communication with patients, families, caregivers, nurses, and health professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide personal assistance according to patient care plans
- Assist nurses with routine patient care activities
- Support hygiene, nutrition, mobility, recreation, and safety needs
- Observe and report patients’ mood, health, and wellbeing




- Maintain safe environments for patients, staff, and visitors

Requirements:

- Active or eligible CLHA registration or practice permit
- Health Care Aide certificate or completion within 18 months
- Current Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider registration
- One year acute health care or rehabilitation experience
- Medical Terminology completion and English language comprehension
