Book Depot Inc. seeks an afternoon-shift Custodian with strong cleaning skills for its Thorold Distribution Center in the Niagara Region. Maintain safe, organized facilities.
This permanent, full-time Custodian works 40 hours weekly from 3:45 p.m. to 12:15 a.m. The role maintains warehouse cleanliness, sanitation, waste handling, and janitorial supplies. Success requires attention to detail, punctuality, physical ability, basic English communication, and commitment to safety. Experience in custodial or warehouse work is an asset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and disinfect lunchrooms, washrooms, and high-touch areas
- Sweep, dry mop, and power scrub warehouse floors
- Empty garbage and replace recycling bins throughout facilities
- Maintain showroom cleanliness and janitorial room organization
- Remove snow and apply salt to walkways
Requirements:
- Availability for permanent full-time afternoon shifts
- Solid attention to cleanliness, organization, and detail
- Ability to stand, bend, lift, squat, and repeat movements
- Basic English oral and written communication skills
- Experience in warehouse or custodial work is an asset
