This Emergency Department LPN - Orthopaedic Tech position supports Central Corridor’s main referral center. The role combines Licensed Practical Nurse practice with orthopaedic care, including casts, splints, and traction equipment. Candidates need recent Acute Med-Surg or Critical Care experience.

Key Responsibilities:

- Apply, adjust, and remove casts, splints, and traction equipment
- Provide LPN care for diverse Emergency Department presentations
- Observe and monitor patient physical, mental, and emotional changes
- Report and document patient condition changes accurately




- Provide patient and family centred care

Requirements:

- Complete accredited Licensed Practical Nurse education
- Hold or qualify for Alberta LPN registration and practice permit
- Complete accredited specialty Orthopaedic Technician training
- Maintain current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
- Have two to five years recent Acute Med-Surg or Critical Care experience
