Patient Clerk expertise in medical terminology and appointment booking supports outpatient care at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre. French oral proficiency is required.

Reporting to the Manager, Outpatient Clinics, the Patient Clerk serves Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Chemotherapy, Radiation Therapy Treatment, Reception, and Current Patient Office areas. The role supports patient and family centred care through accurate clerical services. Key work includes processing physician orders, triaging telephone messages, and booking procedures, clinic appointments, and tests.

Key Responsibilities:

- Process physician orders for outpatient clinic services
- Complete lab order entry accurately
- Book procedures, appointments, and diagnostic tests




- Triage telephone messages for clinic follow-up

Requirements:

- Secondary school graduation, Grade XII
- Two-year health-related program or Medical Secretarial graduation
- Two years of experience; oncology experience is an asset
- Medical terminology course and 50 words-per-minute keyboarding
- Experience with Mosaiq EMR, Meditech, and NCompass
