Apply mechanical expertise and troubleshooting skills as an Overhead Crane Technician at Agnico Eagle’s Detour Lake Mine on a 7/7 schedule.
This full time position supports process plant equipment maintenance at Agnico Eagle’s Ontario-Cochrane operation. You will investigate equipment problems, complete overhead crane documentation, operate selected mobile equipment, and support safe, effective maintenance practices. The work requires industrial or mining experience and relevant trade certification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete detailed work orders and document equipment issues
- Provide mechanical troubleshooting support to operations and maintenance personnel
- Complete overhead crane logs and inspection reports
- Operate small mobile cranes, man lifts, and forklifts safely
- Support commissioning, procedure improvements, and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements:
- Red Seal or equivalent mechanical or electrical trade certificate
- Five years of related industrial or mining experience
- Overhead crane maintenance and troubleshooting experience considered an asset
- Experience using computer-based maintenance systems, specifically SAP
- Demonstrated commitment to safe working practices
