An established agricultural and produce business is seeking an experienced sales skilled with a background in wholesale fresh-market potatoes and produce.

This is a confidential opportunity for someone who understands the wholesale produce industry, has experience developing and managing customer relationships, and can identify opportunities to grow sales across domestic and international markets.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and expanding existing wholesale accounts while developing new business opportunities and building relationships with buyers, distributors, wholesalers, retailers, brokers and importers.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and grow existing wholesale customer accounts, identifying opportunities to increase sales volumes and strengthen business relationships.

Develop new wholesale business opportunities across domestic and international markets.

Leverage established industry relationships and networks to generate new customers and sales.

Build and maintain relationships with produce distributors, wholesalers, retailers, brokers, importers and other industry buyers.

Negotiate pricing, sales volumes, product specifications and commercial agreements.

Monitor market conditions, wholesale pricing trends, seasonal supply and customer demand.





Identify opportunities to expand into new markets and develop additional sales channels.

Work closely with internal teams responsible for procurement, packing, product availability and logistics to coordinate customer requirements.

Maintain strong customer service and ensure customer expectations are consistently met.

Contribute to overall sales growth and profitability.

Qualifications & Experience

Previous experience selling wholesale fresh-market potatoes and produce is strongly preferred.

Established relationships within the wholesale produce industry are a significant asset.

Demonstrated success in managing existing customer accounts and developing new business.

Knowledge of wholesale produce markets, pricing, seasonality, supply and demand.

Experience negotiating sales volumes, pricing and commercial agreements.

Exposure to domestic and international produce markets and export sales.

Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building abilities.

Self-motivated, commercially minded and comfortable working independently.

Ability to identify opportunities, build customer relationships and generate profitable sales.

Compensation

A competitive compensation package consisting of a base salary plus commission.

Salary will be determined based on the successful candidate's experience, industry relationships, existing customer connections and demonstrated ability to generate and grow business.
