Medicine Hat College seeks a full-time term-certain Philosophy Instructor for the 2026-2027 academic year. The instructor will teach Philosophy: Values and Ethics, Bioethics, and Philosophy of Science. The appointment supports university transfer, degree partnership, and other college programs through focused undergraduate instruction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach three PHIL 249 sections on values and ethics
- Teach two PHIL 313 sections on bioethics
- Teach one PHIL367 section on philosophy of science
- Prepare course materials and assess assignments and examinations
- Provide feedback, office hours, records, and instructional support
Requirements:
- Master's degree in philosophy; PhD preferred
- Relevant post-secondary teaching experience considered an asset
- Robust grounding in moral philosophy and bioethics
- Strong communication skills and computer literacy
- Willingness to collaborate and focus on student success
