Unit 64 is a 33-bed Maternal-Child unit within Rockyview General Hospital’s Post Partum program. This Licensed Practical Nurse provides patient and family centred care for postpartum women and newborns, while supporting pre-operative and post-operative surgical patients. Care includes assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, collaboration, teaching, and advocacy within an interprofessional team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Deliver secure, effective, and efficient nursing care
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
- Provide postpartum care for women and newborns




- Support pre-operative and post-operative surgical patients
- Teach and advocate for patients and families

Requirements:

- Accredited practical nurse education program completion
- Active or eligible Alberta Licensed Practical Nurse registration
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
- Recent acute care and maternal-child LPN experience
- Effective communication, organization, and critical-thinking skills
