Support cytology testing onsite in Brampton with sample preparation, quality control, and routine laboratory procedures. Work Monday to Friday, 4:00 p.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Dynacare is seeking a permanent full-time Clinical Laboratory Assistant for its Cytology team. Prepare samples and reagents, perform easy non-interpretive tests, and operate complex instruments under documented procedures. Maintain accurate data entry, equipment records, quality checks, and laboratory standards. This position supports downstream solutions and treatment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare samples and reagents for routine processing
- Perform simple non-interpretive tests independently
- Operate complex instruments following department procedures
- Complete quality control checks and required documentation
- Maintain, disinfect, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment
Requirements:
- Medical Laboratory Assistant Certification or approved laboratory assistant course
- Health or Science diploma or degree accepted
- Keyboarding speed of at least 40 words per minute
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 30 pounds
