The Health Care Aide works under Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse direction within Interlake-Eastern Regional Health Authority. This 0.80 FTE Clinical Support position involves meeting client, patient, or resident personal needs through established policies and procedures. Effective practice includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist with client, patient, and resident personal needs
- Perform duties according to established policies and procedures
- Work under Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse direction




- Apply nursing process principles during assigned care activities
- Support the health care team in Long Term Care

Requirements:

- Health Care Aide Certificate from recognized educational institute
- Current certification in BCLS
- Knowledge of patient care and activities of daily living
- Knowledge of safe patient handling techniques
- Ability to organize, prioritize, communicate, and work with minimal supervision
