Lead Indigenous consultation and stakeholder relationships as a Resource Liaison Specialist with Ontario’s Regional Operations Division in Kenora. Apply resource management expertise across northwestern Ontario.

This permanent Ontario Public Service position supports the Ministry of Natural Resources’ Regional Operations Division. You will advise on the Crown’s Duty to Consult, sustainable resource management, and community engagement. The work combines Indigenous history, negotiation, facilitation, project management, research, and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

- Build relationships with Indigenous communities and diverse stakeholders
- Provide technical advice on the Crown’s Duty to Consult
- Lead Indigenous programs, initiatives, and community outreach




- Represent the ministry in resource and issue negotiations
- Prepare budgets and track program expenditures

Requirements:

- Valid Ontario class G driver’s licence or equivalent
- Knowledge of Indigenous history, culture, and related issues
- Knowledge of resource management principles, legislation, and policies
- Robust negotiation, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work outside regular hours occasionally
