As Principal Software Development Engineer, Applied AI, you will define strategy for customer-facing AI products and their platform. You will author architecture decision records, establish platform boundaries, and guide teams building AI features. The role reports to the VP, Engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

- Define organization-wide AI architecture through cited decision records
- Own AI service boundaries and shared service-kit libraries
- Set evaluation, observability, persistence, and release standards
- Establish agentic workflow, isolation, governance, and audit guardrails




- Lead distributed-system design and mentor senior engineers

Requirements:

- 10+ years of skilled software engineering experience
- Multiple years operating production LLM or agentic systems
- Distributed systems, microservices, DDD, and Clean Architecture expertise
- Full-stack breadth with modern front ends and Python back ends
- Experience setting standards, making vendor decisions, and communicating tradeoffs
