Job Summary

EY Canada is seeking a Senior Data Scientist for its AI Centre of Excellence within the Office of the Chief Technology Officer. Reporting to the Lead Data Scientist, you will develop and integrate AI solutions, including large language model applications, for enterprise projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, build, and optimize machine learning pipelines for enterprise and research applications.
- Implement, fine-tune, and evaluate large language model solutions, including generative AI, natural language processing, and retrieval-augmented generation.
- Translate academic research into practical, scalable AI solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Support the model lifecycle from ideation and training through validation, deployment, and monitoring, applying MLOps practices.
- Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, business stakeholders, and product teams.
- Communicate technical results and contribute to research publications and internal knowledge sharing.
- Promote ethical, equitable, and transparent AI and comply with legal and security guidelines.

Qualifications





- Master’s or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field.
- 4–6 years of hands-on experience delivering AI/ML solutions.
- Proficiency in Python and PyTorch and/or TensorFlow, including data wrangling, feature engineering, and ML pipeline automation.
- Experience with LLM architectures, generative AI, model fine-tuning, and deployment.
- Familiarity with MLOps and cloud platforms such as Azure ML or equivalent.
- Strong communication and analytical skills, and ability to work across teams.

Compensation and Perks

Compensation range: CAD 88,000–132,000. EY describes its total rewards package as including medical, prescription drug and dental coverage, a defined contribution pension plan, vacation, paid days and other wellbeing programs. Benefits vary by province of residence.
