Lead workplace safety programs at Polytainers in Etobicoke, using Ontario compliance knowledge and manufacturing hazard expertise onsite. Drive safer operations through visible leadership and practical action.

As Senior Health & Safety Specialist, you will oversee programs, policies, and procedures across Polytainers’ manufacturing facility. You will partner with Operations, Maintenance, Human Resources, and senior leadership on regulatory compliance, hazard mitigation, incident investigations, and continuous improvement. The position reports to the Sr. Director, Human Resources.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and improve facility health and safety programs
- Conduct inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits
- Guide machine guarding, LOTO, and PSRs




- Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions
- Report safety performance indicators to senior leadership

Requirements:

- Degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety
- Four to seven years of progressive safety experience
- Significant manufacturing or industrial workplace experience
- Knowledge of Ontario OHSA and Regulation 851
- Experience managing WSIB claims and return-to-work programs
