Operating room nursing at The Ottawa Hospital requires current O.R. experience and B.C.L.S. certification. Work days, evenings, nights, weekends, and call-back coverage.
As a Registered Nurse, you will work within The Ottawa Hospital’s multi-campus setting serving Eastern Ontario, Western Quebec, and Eastern Nunavut. Current O.R. and/or Cardiac O.R. experience is required, alongside registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario. Perioperative certification and advanced English and French proficiency are preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work eight-hour day, evening, and night shifts
- Provide availability for weekend and statutory holiday coverage
- Remain available for evening, night, and weekend standby
- Return to work within 30 minutes when called back
Requirements:
- Hold registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Maintain current O.R. and/or Cardiac O.R. experience
- Maintain current B.C.L.S. certification
- Be eligible to work in Canada
- Perioperative certification is preferred
