This experienced Kafka Platform Administrator and Developer supports reliable, scalable, highly available event-driven integrations. The work combines platform engineering, development, operations, and monitoring across development, testing, staging, and production. Responsibilities include Kafka Connect, Datadog, GitHub, and production support.

Key Responsibilities:

- Administer Kafka clusters, brokers, topics, partitions, and access controls
- Deploy and maintain Kafka services across multiple environments
- Develop, configure, and troubleshoot source and sink connectors
- Monitor health, throughput, latency, lag,



and connector status
- Provide L2/L3 support, incident management, and root cause analysis

Requirements:

- Eight-plus years in middleware, messaging, streaming, or integration
- Robust Apache Kafka administration and development experience
- Hands-on Kafka experience with Red Hat OpenShift Service on AWS
- Experience with Kafka Connect, GitHub, Datadog, and Kafka CLI
- Knowledge of security, Linux, networking, SQL, and serialization formats
