As a Principal Engineer, you will help found OpenTable's Agentic Engineering Platform team within Product Engineering. You will connect AI models with company knowledge, codebases, APIs, and engineering systems. The work spans service architecture, cloud infrastructure, testing, security, and adoption across product engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities:

- Identify software delivery bottlenecks through data and direct observation
- Design and operate shared cloud agents and developer tools
- Automate planning, testing, review, rollout, and production feedback
- Pilot solutions with product engineering teams and package guidance




- Control permissions, testing, recovery, tracing, and agent costs

Requirements:

- 8+ years delivering and operating production software systems
- Deep API design, service architecture, scalability, and security knowledge
- Proficiency with Claude, Codex, or Cursor
- Ability to turn ambiguous problems into useful experiments
- Experience helping engineers adopt tools through collaboration
