Deliver person-centred nursing care at Louis Brier Home and Hospital in Vancouver’s Oakridge area, using assessment and clinical leadership daily.

Reporting to the Director of Care, the Staff Nurse provides daily care in a residential facility. You will work independently and within an interdisciplinary team, following BCCNM standards, ethical codes, and organizational values. The position supports elderly residents, including a predominantly Jewish community with diverse cultural experiences. You will enhance residents’ quality of life while collaborating with families, physicians, and healthcare providers. Long Term Care and Gerontology experience are required, alongside current BCCNM registration.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assess residents on admission and throughout their care
- Develop, evaluate, and update interdisciplinary nursing care plans




- Administer medications and control narcotics using established procedures
- Provide direct nursing care, including transfers, feeding, and bathing
- Maintain resident charts using PCC, MDS, and Excelleris

Requirements:

- Approved nursing school graduation
- One year of recent related experience
- Current British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives registration
- Long Term Care or Gerontology training and experience
- Intermediate First Aid and Basic Life Support certification

Use registered nursing expertise, resident assessment, medication administration, and interdisciplinary collaboration to support Louis Brier residents.
