Lead high-voltage substation installations with Rising Edge Group as a Journeyperson Electrician or Power Systems Electrician across critical infrastructure projects.

This senior role reports to the Site Supervisor and covers 13.8kV to 500kV substations. You will interpret drawings, blueprints, and electrical codes while planning wiring, equipment, and fixture layouts. The work includes inspection, testing, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.

Key Responsibilities:

- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain high-voltage electrical systems
- Inspect and test substation equipment and maintain reports
- Lead ground grid, cabling, wiring, and equipment installation
- Coach, mentor, and train apprentices and PSE personnel




- Follow safety procedures near energized equipment

Requirements:

- Valid recognized Power Systems Electrician or Journeyperson Electrician certificate
- Minimum five years’ electrical experience, including two years in substations
- Knowledge of Alberta Electrical Utility Code and safety rules
- Valid Alberta Class 5 licence and acceptable driving record
- Willingness to travel, work remotely, and work at heights
