Senior Project Manager Transit Solutions

Contract Type: Part time Contract

Term: 12 Months (with two optional one-year extensions)

Hours: Approximately 1,200 hours total

Work Arrangement: Primarily Remote with occasional onsite meetings in Ottawa (approximately 1-2 days per month)

Overview

The Municipal Government Client of TEKsystems is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the implementation and expansion of customer-facing transit technology solutions involving third-party partners, application integrations, and API-enabled service delivery.

The successful candidate will manage projects that enable external organizations to integrate with OC Transpo technology platforms, including barcode and ticketing-related capabilities. This role requires a combination of project leadership, stakeholder engagement, vendor coordination, technology implementation, and operational readiness expertise.

This is not a traditional infrastructure or PMO role. The ideal candidate will have experience leading technology implementations involving external organizations, digital platforms, application integrations, APIs, payment or transaction-based systems, and customer-facing solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end delivery of technology implementation initiatives from planning through deployment.

- Manage project scope, budget, schedule, risks, issues, dependencies, and reporting.

- Coordinate technical integration activities between City systems and external partner organizations.

- Facilitate stakeholder engagement across business, technology, operations,



procurement, legal, finance, and vendor teams.

- Manage implementation activities involving APIs, application integrations, and third-party technology providers.

- Coordinate vendor and partner onboarding activities.

- Support governance, decision-making, and executive reporting processes.

- Lead pilot programs, testing initiatives, deployment planning, and operational readiness activities.

- Ensure successful transition of implemented solutions into ongoing business operations.

- Develop and maintain project documentation, status reports, RAID logs, and implementation plans.

- Coordinate communications among internal teams, external partners, and solution providers.

- Support contract-related discussions and partner implementation agreements where required.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum 10 years of Project Management experience leading complex technology initiatives.

- Proven experience implementing new technology solutions from planning through deployment.

- Demonstrated experience managing enterprise technology projects involving multiple stakeholders and vendors.

- Experience coordinating technical and business teams in complex delivery environments.





- Strong risk management, governance, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.

- Ability to manage vendor relationships and external partner engagements.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Ottawa, ON.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $95.00 - $120.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
