Deliver comprehensive operating room nursing care at BCHS across Brantford and Paris, Ontario, using surgical assessment and perioperative expertise. Current operating room experience is preferred.

Reporting to the Clinical Manager for Operating Room, PACU and Day Surgery, this Registered Nurse supports the operating room program. The position requires perioperative nursing certification, BCLS, venipuncture, and clinical competence across surgical services. Nurses function independently or within interprofessional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide comprehensive nursing care within the operating room program
- Function as scrub or circulating nurse independently
- Support orthopedic, urology, gynecology, and general surgery procedures
- Perform I.V. starts and venipuncture




- Teach patients and complete excellent patient assessments

Requirements:

- Graduate from an accredited college or university nursing program
- Registered and in valuable standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
- Completed Perioperative Nursing Certification
- Critical thinking, prioritization, communication, and conflict resolution skills
