Location: Toronto or London (Hybrid, 3x/week)

Overview:

Our client is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst to support wealth management systems through requirements gathering, functional analysis and application delivery. The role translates business needs into developer-consumable functional and non-functional requirements and supports design, development, testing, configuration and implementation activities.

Responsibilities

- Work with cross-departmental staff and management to understand how existing systems support business functions and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Gather, analyze and document business requirements, needs and features, translating them into detailed functional and non-functional specifications or user stories.
- Perform functional analysis and design, and contribute to solution discussions for new or modified systems.
- Create testing use cases and collaborate with QA to ensure test strategies, plans and cases are traceable to business requirements.
- Work with vendors and cross-business teams to deliver new systems and technology solutions.
- Prepare technical documentation, contribute to user training and support end users during the transition to maintenance.
- Support system upgrades and maintenance during the post-implementation warranty period.

Must Haves

- Minimum 2+ years of experience in a business analysis role specific to wealth technologies.




- Degree in Commerce, Management Information Systems, Business Administration or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Experience gathering requirements and documenting functional and non-functional specifications.
- Strong understanding of business principles and experience working across a broad range of business functions.
- Strong understanding of general IT project methodologies, processes and practices.

Nice to Haves

- Working knowledge of Fundserv.
- Experience with UNITRAX or Univeris.
