Promote health, safety, and environmental awareness as an HSE Advisor across Northern Ontario, with training and site inspections central to your work.
Reporting to the HSE Lead, this field-based position supports site personnel through safety guidance, regulatory compliance, and incident investigations. You will work a rotational schedule with camp accommodations provided, serving projects in Northern Ontario and/or Northern Manitoba.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guide employees and contractors on policies, procedures, and regulations
- Conduct inspections, orientations, audits, and safety meetings
- Investigate incidents and near misses, identifying root causes
- Deliver safety training and support specialized instruction
- Maintain JSAs, risk registers, emergency plans, and records
Requirements:
- Construction safety experience or equivalent experience
- Required NCSO and Occupational Health and Safety certificates
- Advanced Word, Excel, and Outlook skills
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license
- Ability to travel by small aircraft and pass required checks
