GreenFirst seeks an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist providing technical services for health, safety, environment, and site protection. Reporting to the General Manager, this position supports programs, compliance, employee communication, and workplace improvements. The work includes environmental management and occupational health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Promote safe workplaces and support Health and Safety programs
- Maintain policies, procedures, systems, statistics, and performance reports
- Conduct compliance controls, inspections, and environmental safety audits




- Support Emergency Response Team training, guidance, and services
- Manage WSIB programs and site security activities

Requirements:

- University degree or equivalent education
- Five years of industrial environment experience
- Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and safety practices
- Leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Microsoft Office proficiency; English required, French an asset
