Shape sustainable prototypes with Stantec’s collaborative Buildings team in Dartmouth, using BIM, Revit, and architectural detailing skills. This is a full-time, no-travel position.
This Architectural Designer role supports projects under an Architect or Senior Designer while developing building design concepts and documentation. You will create schematics, space programs, site plans, forms, sections, and architectural details. Work spans institutional, education, commercial, retail, and healthcare sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop architectural designs across diverse project sectors
- Assist with proposals, conferences, and work-plan reviews
- Coordinate designs with consultants and disciplines
- Assimilate changes from clients and project architects
- Support project delivery, quality control, and safety
Requirements:
- One year as a technologist on wide-ranging projects
- Robust BIM knowledge with required Revit proficiency
- Knowledge of Rhino, SketchUp, or Grasshopper is an asset
- Understanding of building science and construction contracts
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
