Support flexible packaging production in Mississauga as a Press Assistant I, using mechanical aptitude and hands-on press setup skills.
At TOPPAN Packaging Americas, this position supports safe, efficient printing press operation on continental shifts. You will prepare materials, maintain ink systems, assist the Press Operator, and help meet quality standards. The work includes equipment assembly, production staging, and changeovers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble and disassemble pumps, hoses, filters, and press equipment
- Monitor ink viscosity and maintain production ink levels
- Blend inks and prepare solvent blends using required ratios
- Load and unload rolls from press and rewind equipment
- Assist with machine setup, operation,
and changeovers
Requirements:
- Previous manufacturing, printing, or machine operation experience preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude for hands-on production work
- Ability to follow written procedures and operating instructions safely
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Dependable attendance, communication, and teamwork
