Use handyperson, painting, and repair experience to maintain AMS facilities and equipment at THE NEST in a permanent part-time position.

The Alma Mater Society’s Building Operations team is hiring a Maintenance Assistant reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor. You will help keep a 250,000 square foot Student Union Building in good repair while following AMS standards, procedures, and regulatory legislation. Duties include venue and equipment maintenance, closing support, cleaning, material movement, and workshop care. Candidates may be completing education with handy work experience or have an industry background.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform general maintenance and handyperson duties
- Complete minor painting, finishing, and repair tasks
- Sweep, mop,



and clear beer lines
- Maintain loading dock areas and the workshop
- Support the Duty Manager during building closing

Requirements:

- Experience with drywall, painting, or related repairs is an asset
- Handyman, carpenter, cooling technician, or similar experience is an asset
- English communication skills required
- Robust communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift up to 60 kilograms
